Our adult basic education programs provide instruction for students working towards passing their GED® tests or to improve reading, writing, and math skills for employment and continued education.
In Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan, we offer a variety of class levels, with teachers dedicated to each student’s success. Classes are on hold for summer, but personalized tutoring is available so come in to see us today!
- GED® instruction and testing;
- ESL/Citizenship classes;
- Skills building in math, reading, and writing;
- Computer classes; and
- A new Career and College Awareness class.

New Student Orientation
If you are just beginning to work on your GED or returning after a break from your studies, the way to get started is to attend a new student orientation session. Orientation is held every Friday at 11:00 AM. This 1 hour meeting will familiarize you with the programs of The Learning Connection, go over important information about the GED Test, and it will provide information that will help you decide if this is a good time for you to begin working with TLC.

The Learning Connection is a program of SERRC – Alaska’s Educational Resource Center.
